Steve Michalanko

Senior Ecologist

Steve Michalanko is a Senior Ecologist with more than 25 years of expertise in assessing ecological and toxicological risks associated with environmental hazards. His multi-disciplinary background as an ecologist, environmental toxicologist, and seasoned environmental remediation project manager enables him to provide full-spectrum support for all ecological components involved in remedial investigations and environmental toxicology issues.

As the lead ecologist, he has been responsible for conducting and preparing ecological risk assessments for aquatic and terrestrial habitats, including complex sediment investigations for large-scale remedial sites including Superfund sites, industrial facilities, and military bases nationwide. Additionally, Mr. Michalanko is a certified wetland scientist with more than 20 years’ experience applying phytoremediation alternatives and designing constructed treatment wetlands to assist in effective remedial outcomes and permitting project goals.
