Sevim Y. Onsoy, Ph.D.

Sevim Onsoy is a hydrologist and water resources planner with over 19 years of diversified project experience in California. Dr. Onsoy specializes in water resources planning and management, groundwater management, and modeling with a wide range of local and regional project experience, including groundwater sustainability plan development and implementation support, groundwater sustainability and impact assessments, groundwater management and monitoring programs, groundwater recharge and conjunctive use, integrated surface water and groundwater modeling, water quality assessments, and salt and nitrate impacts on groundwater.

Sevim earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Hydrologic Science from the University of California Davis. Her research focused on numerical modeling of flow and transport of nitrate to groundwater from agricultural practices.
