GEI’s Francine Dunn and Gillian Gregory Receive 2017 Women Worth Watching in STEM Award
February 27, 2017Boston, Mass. – February 27, 2017 – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced that Vice Presidents Francine Dunn and Gillian Gregory, Ph.D., P.E., were winners of the 2017 Women Worth Watching in STEM Award, from Profiles in Diversity Journal.
“Francine and Gillian have mentored many women throughout their careers and, as leaders, they have consistently modeled the example of exceptional work quality, technical excellence, and a commitment to people,” said Senior Vice President Julie Jennings Kale.
As Vice President and Environmental Planning Practice Leader in GEI’s Sacramento, CA office, Francine Dunn provides technical leadership while mentoring and empowering women to grow in the fields of Science and Engineering. As a leader at GEI, she co-created an affinity group specifically focused on women in consulting, and has led successful business acquisition and project execution in a wide variety of key markets.
Dr. Gillian Gregory has been with GEI for more than 30 years as a geotechnical engineer, serving as Vice President and the first woman Chairman of GEI’s Board of Directors. Gillian is an accomplished well-respected leader and a trailblazer at GEI and within the industry. She has built a strong reputation as a leader committed to technical excellence in engineering, building corporate governance structures, and promoting diversity. Under her tenure as Chairman of the Board, GEI formed its first Board-sponsored committee focused on diversity and inclusion.
